A short note to follow up with what is happening here.
Some of you will have known that back in February during a short stay in Hospital, they discovered that my cancer was back and I had Mets (Metastases) in both my lungs. After discussions with my Oncologist, we decided to go ahead with our adventure but that I would come home in May to be re-tested to see what, if anything was developing. In May the Mets in the lungs were found to have grown, but only slightly so again after discussing it with my Oncologist I headed back to the USA so we could carry on with our great adventure (and I am so pleased we did) and on my return home I would be tested again.
We arrived home last Monday and as I said in my last blog, I headed for a Scan that afternoon followed with a visit to the Oncologist for results on Wednesday. The results being that the Mets have grown again, so we are stepping up the treatment and I start 6 months of chemo on Tuesday next week.
After the usual stress in the lead up to getting the results, I now find myself with my head back in a good space and just want to get on with the treatment and looking to find the fun side of things again. Starting with today, the hair is heading back to Purple… well as long as it is still attached to the head it will be purple.
I will continue to post up dates on my progress.
