About Me

At the end of September 2017, I was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and our fight began.  I was determined to fight this hideous disease, a disease that had already robbed me of a dear friend Christine, as well as other friends and family members to various different cancers.

Travelling through this time I have poured my thoughts and concerns into my blog “Renovate My Dreams”.  It helped me to remain positive during the darkest days and pushed me some days to just get out of bed.

Now, that I have declared a 5-percenter, (which means that I am one of only 5% of people when I diagnosed worldwide with pancreatic cancer to survive five years).  This is why I want to give back to the community.

One of the hardest things that I have discovered was a lack of support or information available to my family and I, this has been difficult, as we have discovered that there is so much help available.  But in my early cancer fog, knowing where to turn, who to ask for help or even what to ask was beyond me.  There were offers of help that we didn’t know how to accept or even how to let people know what we needed.

So that’s why this site has been started.  I want this to be a GO-TO site of helpful ideas, support, helpful products and general information on all things that can help anyone affected by Pancreatic cancer.  Both the sufferer and their supporters.  

This site will always be a work in progress, for new ideas, thoughts, products, events anything that can make our lives a little easier as we travel along this path.  IF there is something missing you want to know about let us know and we will see what we can find out for you.  But as you discover ideas on here, remember that all our journeys are different, take on board what is only right for you.
